The arrival of Robbie Keane in Glasgow has delighted Celtic fans, but their hero could not inspire Tony Mowbray’s stumbling Celtic side from losing at Kilmarnock for the first time in 9 years. Meaning Rangers stay 10 points clear….so has his arrival come too late for Celtic’s title challenge. We’ll also be talking Hearts as they lose to St Mirren in the cup, and we’ll be previewing the other League Cup semi-final between St Johnstone and Rangers.
Due to the surprising amount of activity in our top league this transfer window we have decided to compile a Top 5 of new signings in the SPL, who could make a big difference to their new teams over the next few months.
Despite a less-than-full fixture card at the weekend the SFL threw up some intriguing result, including a win for Ross County at Dens Park; Alloa confirming themselves as title challengers in Division 2; and Montrose finally winning their first match of the season…IN FEBRUARY. All the other usual features will be in there too.
