Hearts have won 12 games compared to Hibernian’s 11. 13 games have been drawn. Last season, goals were scare in the derby meetings with Hearts failing to beat their rivals in the SPL. Hibs won two out of four games by a scoreline of 1-0 with the two remaining were drawn 1-1 and 0-0.

Hearts will be without the suspended midfielder Eggert Jonsson. Marius Zalukas, Suso Santana , Laryea Kingston, Callum Elliot and David Templeton are all missing through injury for the Jambos.

Hibs are hoping that playmaker Merouane Zemmama can recover form his groin strain in time to face Hearts. While Colin Nish is pushing for a start after scoring the first goal against Aberdeen last weekend.
