New Middlesborough manager Gordon Strachan has launched into Tony Mowbray over the Celtic manager’s claims that his Celtic players lack quality. Strachan insists that Mowbray has inherited a team of top stars.

A deal to show Scottish Football League games could be on the cards in a new agreement with BBC Alba, the Scots Gaelic channel. Senior figures within BBC Alba are discussing the possibility of increased coverage of first division matches in the latter half of the current season, and possibly more regularly in season 2010-11.
