The SFA’s Emgergency Committee met again this morning to discuss new evidence relating to the Brechin v Hamilton game. Initally Brechin were forced to replay the game against Hamilton and were fined 10,000 pounds after fielding one ineligible player but this morning it was revealed that Brechin have been thrown out of the competition after the discovery that they infact played two ineligible players in the game – Michael Paton and Willy Dyer.

If an SPL side had done this would they have been thrown out of the competition?? nope I don’t think so – they would have been heavily fined and then told to replay the game. Because the bigger the team the more money comes into the competition.

Brechin could have played the game again minus the two players but now hamilton progress when they didnt deserve to do so, but they wont be complaining.
